Our History

The Association of Licensed Land Surveyors of Kenya (ALLSK) traces its roots back to 1946, when its foundational rules were established, marking the formal creation of the organization. Initially aimed at representing the interests of licensed land surveyors across Kenya, ALLSK has grown to become a cornerstone of the surveying profession. Over the years, it has evolved to encompass not only practicing surveyors but also non-practicing members and associates registered in recognized countries. ALLSK has long been focused on the welfare and professional growth of its members. In 1994, under the leadership of then-secretary Ray R. Meynink, the association expanded its scope to include fostering relationships among members, organizing joint ventures, and advocating for member welfare through pension schemes, legal protection, and professional development opportunities. The association also strives to maintain high standards within the profession, ensuring ethical practices while advising the government on land surveying matters and legislation. Through seminars, scholarships, and public awareness initiatives, ALLSK continues to play a crucial role in shaping the future of land surveying in Kenya
